Day 1

After a rainy start, Dr. Wisse took all the weary travelers for a great walking tour of Florence and a delicious dinner at Ruth's. Here are some pictures from our first day in this beautiful city!

Welcome to "Art and Experience in Medici Florence," a ten-day course at Stern College for Women, Yeshiva University, on the art and social context of Florence during the Renaissance period. Through pictures and postings, we invite you to follow along with fifteen of our students as we visit and study some of the city’s key monuments, public spaces and works of art.
