Today we saw Michelangelo's David statue. I couldn't believe how large it is!! I never really imagined it looking that big from all the pictures I have seen. It was so cool to see it up close and see all these details (like the veins and the nails). It's amazing that it had stayed in one piece, considering the fact that its original location was outdoors, and it was there for a long time.The room that houses the statue in the Academia is very fitting for it. I wonder if they had to bring the statue in through the roof, or did it fit through the door?
